Devoted to the highest philosophical and ethical values of humanism, nurturing deep understanding, sensitivity and care of human body and mind, and advancing promotive, preventive and curative healthcare – across systems of medicine, be it Western, or Indian, the Modern or Ancient – the University School of Medicine & Paramedical Health Sciences is a pious confluence of diverse pathies, nursing sciences, and paramedical disciplines.
It runs more than 70 academic courses in medicine and paramedical sciences, promotes Ph.D. research scholars to fulfil their scientific quest in a number of areas, and has a synergistic synapse with 26 affiliate medical institutions. While its 4 medical colleges run the MBBS program, a dental college runs BDS, an Ayurveda college BAMS, a Yoga institution BSc and MSc in yoga, and a homeopathic college trains scholars through BHMS. Three institutions run 25 post-MBBS (MD and MS) postgraduate courses in modern medicine, while postdoctoral super specialty courses are run in 12 sub-streams. Besides, the school runs post-BAMS MD and MS Ayurveda courses in 5 Ayurveda fields.
B.Sc. and M.Sc. nursing programs are run in 5 nursing colleges. In the realm of paramedical sciences, 8 undergraduate courses, 3 postgraduate diploma courses, and 9 postgraduate courses are being run in a number of medical institutions across Delhi.
